Order to pay for corn, 1813 September 8 [to] Paul D. Butler, Lower Sandusky.

Orders the Quarter Master General to pay for "one thousand and sixty seven bushels corn gathered from my field at Lower Sandusky for the use of the United States per certificate of Wm. Ingersol Forage Master and of General Perkins ... @ 75 cents per bushel, $800.25". The amount was received at "Camp Seneca September 8th, 1813 of John C. Bartlet, Quarter Master General ..." and was signed by Paul D. Butler and witnessed by William Oliver. Signed during the War of 1812, when William Henry Harrison was Brigadier General, Commander of the North Western Army of the United States.
